Please Join Me in A Prayer for Mother Earth

My dearest Mother Earth, Divine Goddess in physical form,
I ask forgiveness for all that I have done that has contributed to your crisis. I forgive myself for imagining it. I forgive myself for calling it into creation. I forgive myself as a Divine Creator. I Love myself. I Love myself. I love myself.
I offer Divine Love to support your healing. I recognize my and all of humanity’s contribution to the situation in the Gulf of Mexico, because no one of us is separate from you or from each other.
May all the Earth Kingdoms come together to support your healing. May the flow of oil and gas from the leaking well be fully stemmed immediately. May all oil wells cease to operate everywhere on your body and no longer be able to function to remove your blood. May you be allowed to keep your life-blood and may we immediately begin to live upon your body in harmony and balance.
Mother/Father Source, teach us to live differently upon the body of our Earth Mother. Let us begin this very moment to put her well-being above our own personal concerns and issues. May we treat her as we would treat ourselves, with love, respect, caring, honor, and nurturance.
My beloved Mother, I grieve for your injury and your illness, and I ask that you be fully healed without having to go through any healing crisis. May your healing reflect our healing.
I look within and see how greed has created this situation. I freely choose to give up greed, give up controlling others, give up lust for power and money, give up attachment to the external world and remember that we are all Divine beings with Divine Qualities.
Every thought I think and every word I speak and every emotion Ie feel is reflected back to me in every situation. May my eyes see only the beauty of the Earth restored. May my ears hear only the Divine Sound of the harmonious symphonies of the Earth and the Earth Kingdoms in perfect balance. May my mouth speak only healing words this day, words of kindness and affection, honor and respect for YOU, oh Divine Mother. May my Heart be fully open and be sending you whatever support you need to heal and restore you to new levels of well-being.
Mother, I send you Love. Mother, I send you gratitude and appreciation for ALL you have done for humanity over the eons and ages uncounted. Mother, I step out of judgment and hold the LIGHT and the LOVE of the female energy and the male energy in perfect balance to stop the flow of oil and gases in the Gulf.
I ask that the 4-mile wide gas bubble be siphoned off into another realm where it can do no harm.
I ask the oil in the Gulf area be vibrationally neutralized so that it can do no harm.
I ask the Spirit of Water and the Spirit of Wind, the Spirit of Fire and the Spirit of Wood, the Spirit of Earth and the Spirits of East, West, North, and South all join with me in holding a space of perfect healing for Mother Earth at ALL levels of her being.
I invite all of humanity to join in this prayer at this critical moment in humanity’s spiritual awakening process.
So be it!
Your loving Daughter,
Nedda
What Is a Guru?

From Darkness to Light
Since the 1960’s and 1970’s, when spiritual masters from India began coming to the US in greater numbers and Americans began seeking spiritual enlightenment in greater numbers, the term “guru” has often been misunderstood. So here are my thoughts about it.
“Guru” is a Sanscrit word. Each syllable has specific meaning. And in Sanscrit, each syllable vibrates at the same frequency as the meaning.
GU = darkness
RU = light
GURU = one who takes you from darkness to Light
Throughout history, there have been “true” gurus and “false” gurus.”
TRUE GURU = one who shows you that YOU ARE the LIGHT.
Once you know in every cell of your being and in every aspect of your Consciousness that Divine Light lives within you as YOU, you NO LONGER need an external GURU.
Therefore, anyone who says, “follow me” may be leading you astray.
Anyone who creates dependence on them is DEFINITELY leading you astray.
Anyone who says, “go within” is sending you on the journey to find your true essence.
The choice, of course, is yours.
Namaste,
Nedda
p.s. A great teacher I know shared this message from his teacher.
“This is a fact my guru taught me. He said one day in the courtyard of my temple,
My dream, Hari Das, is all my students will go beyond me and my teachings. I have no fear of this. I empower you go forth and be. This is my instruction. A good teacher empowers people to go beyond. Please do. Makes me happy. Love, Baba”
Divine Protection

ANOTHER WORD FOR “luck” IS “GRACE”
How do we known when we are Divinely protected?
Is it just a matter of viewpoint, or is Divine Protection real?
About 6 years ago, a very dear and generous friend gave me a very old, comfortable Buick Le Sabre with 35,000 miles on it. This is the perfect car for me, as I love and appreciate old, worn in, comfortable things. I wear clothes I love until they practically disintegrate. And I prefer to repair things rather than replace them. So this car was a dream come true for me.
Travel forward in time with me to yesterday.
Yesterday, I made my first visit in many years to the huge Westfarms Mall in West Hartford Connecticut. I’m very uncomfortable in these big malls and avoid them whenever possible, but I have “graduated” to needing prescription glasses, and went to the optical store in J. C. Penny’s for my first experience purchasing several pairs.
When I got back into my car, I began weaving my way through the intricate loops and twists of the parking lot maze, heading, eventually, back to the main road. As I approached the first stop sign in this meandering, I stepped on the brake. This created an odd sensation I was not prepared to experience: the brake pedal descended straight to the floor. Because I was driving uphill toward the Stop sign, the car easily stopped.
Talk about protection!
- I was going up hill.
- There were no other cars around.
- I was going slowly.
And in that moment, the brake lines broke and fluid poured out onto the road.
Many years ago, I had another Buick, that time a Skylark. I kept that car going for 15 years. I named it “Bionic Buick” when both the motor and transmission were rebuilt. That car had over 150,000 miles on it before it disintegrated.
“Bionic Buick” and I had many adventures together. In one adventure, I was driving on a back road, flat surface, approaching a stop sign, no other cars around. I rolled up to the stop sign and hit brakes – which no longer worked because the brakes lines were broken. Divine Protection had once again made sure I was out of traffic, travelling slowly, and on a flat surface.
Again, I was protected!
- I was on a back road.
- I was on flat ground.
- I was the only car there.
- I was moving slowly.
As if this isn’t enough protection, the Ford Taurus I had between the two Buicks also lasted longer than most people keep a car – can’t remember exactly, but about 12 years. Again, I was fully protected when driving this car. During its elder years, I pulled into the driveway at the barn where Echo lived and proceed to park. Suddenly, I couldn’t steer – a tie rod had snapped and one front wheel was no longer connected to the steering wheel. When the repair man looked at it, he said it broke in a very odd place. Good thing I wasn’t driving even at 30 mph when this happened.
Talk about protection!
- I was off the road.
- I was parking the car.
- I was moving at about 1 mph.
So I am clearly Blessed and Divinely Protected, and I know it.
If I needed any more proof, I would be a fool.
Some years ago I realized that “luck” is really “grace” – a Divine gift. Giving thanks – showing appreciation and gratitude – brings more Grace into our lives.
“Thank you, Oh Divine Lord, for all the Grace and other Divine Gifts you have sent and continue to send into my life.
It is SO appreciated!”
Namaste,
Nedda
p.s. – Please comment by sharing a bit of the Divine Grace in your life. We all will receive some of that Grace just by reading about it. Thanks.

White Pine Beauties

I’ve always loved trees. As a small child, there was one particular maple tree right at the top of the driveway of our home that seemed very large and old to me, and I thought it was beautiful. Our house was on a tree-lined section of state road, and that tree was special to me. I don’t have any idea why the state took it down, but I grieved it’s demise.
Today, I live on a smaller piece of land, and my house is surrounded by some very large (60+feet tall), very old trees. These two White Pines overshadow the house. The one on the left is no more than 12 feet from the garage. They shed branches, too, as white pine is a soft wood. Some of the branches that fall are too heavy for me to lift or even drag to the side.
Why would I keep such big trees right near my house?
Trees are beautiful. They give us shade and oxygen. But more importantly for me, they have amazing energy.
Have you ever lain on the ground under a tree and looked up at the clear blue sky through their branches?
Have you ever noticed their aura in the sky above their leaves or needles? If you learn to have “soft eyes” it is easy to see their aura, even in these photos. “Soft eyes” means that you allow yourself to see not only what is right in front of you, but on the periphery, too. You use soft eyes to drive your car every day. Just look at the photo, at the top of the tree, and then allow yourself to see what is on either side of you where you are sitting. You may then begin to see the aura of the tree.
Trees have amazing energy. I’ve gone up to these trees and, while facing them, I’ve pressed my body against them. I can feel their enormous energy.
Trees are aware of us. They feel. They sense. They have consciousness. It is possible to have conversations with them, too.
Did you know that, for every tree, their root system is a large as what you see above ground? This makes sense in many ways. To stay upright, they need to be very grounded, just based on principles of physics.

It still blows my mind at times that what is hidden about trees is greater than what we see with our eyes. We see only their trunks and their leaves (needles), their flowers and their seeds (pine cones). We don’t see the life force running up and down their trunks. We don’t see their ginormous root systems. We don’t see their energy matrices. We don’t see their giant factory-sized production of oxygen.
It’s worth hugging a tree just to begin to sense their energies, to feel their bark and their life force.
The two White Pines on my property tell me they are Guardian trees for the neighborhood. They are certainly two of the oldest trees here. I wonder what other wisdom they might share if I asked them.
Namaste,
Nedda
