Can you hear me laughing?

National Relaxation Day?

Hilarious!!

Man laughing.

Can life be any more absurd?

Has it come to this?

Do we need a special day

to remind us to relax?

Ok.  So maybe it’s just me, but when I opened an email this morning announcing that today was “National Relaxation Day” I just broke into hysterical laughter.

Now I realize that most people find my sense of humor a bit odd, but come on, folks, are we that up-tight that we need a special day to relax?

Well, I guess as a nation, we probably are and we probably do.

Are you laughing yet?

If not, trying saying this aloud 3 times, fast:

Ha, ha.

Ha, ha, ha.

Hee, hee, hee.

HEEE HAA!”

Laughter will help you relax, by the way.  It’s the best medicine for relaxing and for healing yourself, too.

So find the humor in everything.  Life is chock full of absurdities, so start looking for them.  And when you find them, have a good laugh.

Cartoon dog rolling with alughter.

So here’s an absurdity to get you going in the laughter/relaxation department.

I can’t find an outdoor thermometer that gives the correct temperature.  I’ve been  looking for weeks locally, and they just don’t seem to exist of the size and type I need.  This wasn’t true a few years ago, but every one I bring home is off by 4-6 degrees or more.

I even noticed in one hardware store that there were 3 outdoor thermometers of exactly the same size and each one showed a different temperature.  Do the people in the store care?  They hadn’t noticed, and even when I pointed it out, they didn’t take down these pieces of junk.

Now I could wail and tear out my hair, but instead, I’m just laughing.  How ridiculous that the quality of goods has gotten to this pathetic level. No integrity at all.

It’s really a good sign, because we can’t get much worse than this, so thing are bound to improve soon.  At least that’s what I’m creating in my personal reality.

Snoopy laughing hysterically.

Snoopy laughing … in case you didn’t recognize him, since deep belly laughter is now so rare!

Ready for absurdity # 2?

I keep running into all kinds of technical issues with software I use on the internet, and I have to call the companies involved and get technical help.

This seems to be on the increase as well lately.  One call I had to wait an hour to get through.  I figured that it was a big technical glitch affecting a lot of people, but I decide to hang in there in case it was just my account.

I finally got a very nice woman on the line who told me that the techies were working on the issue.  I replied that I suspected it was something like that.

To my surprise, the woman thanked me deeply for not swearing at her.

She explained that the last person she had spoken with had cussed her out.

So I gave her some emotional/spiritual support, telling her not to take it personally, that everyone’s stressed out these days (as in … not relaxed), and it was the other person’s problem, not hers.  She was grateful.

Now I’m not laughing at the woman’s plight.  But what I noticed is that this was the second time in 24 hours that I found myself giving support to the support person whom I called.

That makes me wonder about my spiritual service.  Has it changed?  Am I meant to stop talking to animals and just call technical support lines to assist the people answering the phones?  (Please tell me you can sense the humor here.)

Yellow cat in red sweatshirt rolling with laughter.

Absurdity #3

I needed a new soap dish, a traveling type with a top that is attached and that stays closed when you close it.

I couldn’t find one locally anywhere, but finally, with fall coming and school starting, Bed, Bath, and Beyond had some.  It had a tag on it with writing, but I didn’t bother to read it.  I figured it was just a tag with the company name on it.  So I purchased it for about $2 and brought it home.

When I got home and cut off the tag, I decided that it had more print than just a name, so I took out my reading glasses and what do you imagine I read?

Come on now – this can be an interactive blog.

Let your imagination soar.

What might it have said?

TA DA!

It said that this soap dish had antibiotics in the plastic that won’t wash out and will keep things from growing in your soap dish.

Part of my mind said, “Is this for real?”

Another voice in my head said, “Are people that afraid of getting sick?”

The first voice said, “Yeah, let’s spread more antibiotics around so that the remaining few that work will also stop working.”

My I Am Presence said, “Throw it out and wash your hands thoroughly!”

So I did.

I also had a good laugh.

Folks, we have to stop being so afraid of everything and start standing in our personal power.

Ready to begin!

LAUGH!

Find something funny in your daily life.

Find something absurd.

Giggle about it.

Chuckle about it.

Belly laugh about it.

Share your laugher with friends.

Laugh with your friends!

And RELAX!

Happy National Relaxation Day –

I hope you’re celebrating.

We see what we believe. Everyone is our reflection.

Lord Krishna meditating.

Lord Krishna in Meditation

The Mahabharata is an ancient Hindu historical text filled with spiritual teachings.

In the Mahabharata there are many stories.

In one story, Lord Krishna, a Divine incarnation of the Christ Consciousness, is speaking with a gathering of men.

One leader, Prince Duryodhana, has become an expert in finding fault in others.

Krishna asks Duryodhana to point out to him one man in the group who is virtuous.

Duryodhana replies that no one there is virtuous, that all are deceitful and not to be trusted.

Krisha immediately turns to Yudhisthira, another leader who has cultivated the Divine virtues in himself.

He asks Yudhisthira to point out one man in the group who is wicked through and through.

Yudhisthira replies that everyone present is of good will.

As I read this story today, I experienced this insight:

We see what we believe we will see.

Everyone here is a reflection of me.

Each man, Duryodhana and Yudhisthira, saw what he expected to see in others, and that was because each man had a perception filter based on his own expectations and beliefs.

When I contemplated this story with my higher guidance, I was given this experience.  As you read it, you might pause and take a moment to envision each step.

Imagine walking down a street and everyone you see is you – has your face, your body, your clothing.  Everyone looks like you and acts like you, and feels like you.

If you smile and wave with an open heart, each one will smile and wave back.

If you have a grumpy look on your face and your heart is closed, so will all the other Yous out there.

If you embrace them out of pure love for yourself, they will embrace you back.

I said, “That’s not always true.”

I was told,

If you imagine that this will not happen, it’s because each person you meet may be expressing a different aspect of You in a particular moment.

This is why you must cleanse and purify yourself deep inside.

As you remove hatred, anger, judgment, greed, and other impurities, you begin to have clearer and clearer vision, deeper and deeper understanding, truer and truer awareness of the Divine within yourself and within everyone else.

The reflection becomes more and more beautiful, more and more radiant.  You glow with the Divine Light that emanates from within you, and then it is easier to see the Divine Light radiating within everyone else.

“Namaste” could be said to mean “I see the Divine Light in you because it reflects the Divine Light within me.  It is One Light in both of us.”

Namaste.

Daily Wisdom: Appreciating Every Moment

Are You Appreciating Every Moment of Your Life?

1. WISDOM: What is the wisdom you would like to give me today?

When you get up in the morning, what is your first thought?

Yes, it does matter what your first thought is for the day.  Your first moment of consciousness is as important as ever other and can even set the tone for the day.

Do you think, “Another beautiful day.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.”

I Appreciate You.

Do you think, “Oh, Lord, another day,” with your voice full of dread or sarcasm?

Maybe you don’t even remember what you thought this morning when you awoke?

2. LESSON: What are you trying to teach me?

Be aware of your thoughts and feelings.  Being aware is the first step to exercising consciousness about them – taking control of them.

You CAN choose what to think.

You CAN choose how to feel.

You CAN choose what actions to take.

3. RESISTANCE: What have I been resistant to accepting in the past that I’m ready to receive now?

You are resisting being in charge of yourself and your life FULLY.  “I want to be in charge.  I want to take back my power.” you say.  But to do that, you must accept responsibility for EVERYTHING.

3 a — SURRENDER: What do I need to surrender?

Surrender all unwillingness to be responsibility for yourself at all levels of your being.

3 b — ACCEPT: What do I need to accept?

Responsibility for yourself.  Since the world outside you reflects the inner you, looking outside and blaming others just replays the old way of being.  It’s time for a new approach.  ACCEPT your own power and being responsible for all that is, for you are GOD in this body.

4. ACTION: What action would you have me take today to serve my highest path?

TODAY – Use this affirmation:  I AM fully responsible for myself and my life!

5. TO RECEIVE MY HIGHEST TRUTH:

5 a — SURRENDER: In order to receive my highest truth, what idea, behavior, or belief do you want me to surrender?

That you are small, weak, or a victim in any way.  This is subtle.  You’ve been working on this a long time, but there are still stray remnants that can now be dissolved through surrender.

5 b —ADOPT: To live my highest truth, what new idea, behavior, or belief would you like me to adopt today?

I AM THAT I AM.  I appreciate all that is, for whatever I experience I have created it for my own amusement and understanding.

THANK YOU.

To progress on our paths, we must be willing to make changes.

  • We must be willing to surrender limiting beliefs and ways of being.
  • We must also be willing to adopt new beliefs, new ways of being.

Both of these are challenging for us, at times, to do.

So to start off, we ask for the information. Then, if we are truly willing to change – to expand and to give up limitation – we begin one step at a time.

We surrender. . . and if that feels too difficult, we ASK FOR HELP and set the intention to surrender.

We accept something new . . . and if that feels too difficult, we ASK FOR HELP and set the intention to adopt the new way of being.

Daily Wisdom: Surrender to Whom?

SURRENDER to YOUR DIVINE SELF.

1. WISDOM: What is the wisdom you would like to give me today?

The joy of surrender is knowing that you are not alone – that you don’t have to “go it alone” in this world or any other.

The joy of surrender is accepting that you are ONE with ALL THAT IS and that when you accept surrender, you are accepting ONENESS – Unity Consciousness.

The illusion of surrender is that you are giving up or giving away your power.

The truth of surrender is that you are fully ACCEPTING your DIVINE POWER to CHOOSE whatever you want to experience.

The joy of surrender is ALIGNMENT with your DIVINE SPARK.

The peace of surrender is feeling that, no matter what the illusion may be showing on the screen of your inner mind or outer perceptions, your are completely SAFE and PROTECTED through the power of surrender.

2. LESSON: What are you trying to teach me?

When you struggle and resist, you create pain of all kinds: emotional and physical and mental, and even spiritual.  You create disharmony within yourself and it is reflected outside yourself as well.

This is not to say that, if you are physically attacked, you should not resist the attacker.  However, in the martial arts, they teach how to use the attackers weaknesses against them.  That requires surrendering to the situation so that you are open to the energy patterns and can react appropriately.

When you surrender to your own higher power, you become more psychic.  This help you to identify the information and patterns that will benefit you in every situation.  In addition, you are aligned with the ebb and flow of life, and all begins to move smoothly for you.

Surrender to Your Own Divine Self.

Surrender daily – even hourly, at first.

Then, open to receive the benefits that you have requested

through your action and intent of Surrender.

3. RESISTANCE: What have I been resistant to accepting in the past that I’m ready to receive now?

You have resisted complete surrender because you fear loss of Self.  That is your ego speaking, your small self.  Your True Self, your I Am Presence, is never lost, for that is who you actually are.

3 a — SURRENDER: What do I need to surrender?

Fear of loss of self.

3 b — ACCEPT: What do I need to accept?

You and Your “I Am Presence”

I AM THE DIVINE SELF, THE I AM PRESENCE.  Surrender to your True Self will free you from limitation and bring you PEACE, HARMONY, JOY, BLISS, and DIVINE LOVE in limitless amounts.

4. ACTION: What action would you have me take today to serve my highest path?

TODAY – begin and/or continue the process of surrendering to your Divinity.  KNOW that ALL IS WELL.

5. TO RECEIVE MY HIGHEST TRUTH:

5 a — SURRENDER: In order to receive my highest truth, what idea, behavior, or belief do you want me to surrender?

I will lose myself.

5 b —ADOPT: To live my highest truth, what new idea, behavior, or belief would you like me to adopt today?

Nothing is ever lost.  Energy and consciousness can only be transformed.  Therefore, SURRENDER to and TRUST in your I AM and surrender completely.

THANK YOU.

Daily Wisdom: The Web of Life.

August 26, 2011 by

WE ARE ALL PART OF THE WEB OF LIFE.

1. WISDOM: What is the wisdom you would like to give me today?

As part of the web, it is time for humanity to remember that everything we think, feel, say, and do affects the entire web.

Hurricane Irene’s purpose is to help humanity on the eastern coast of the US and elsewhere remember this connection.  Remembering is not just a mental construct, but a way of living. It’s time for humanity to change the way it lives on this planet.

Start by doing sacred ceremony.  Sacred ceremony is essential to restoring humanity to its rightful way of being on this planet.  Expressing respect, appreciation, and love for Hurricane Irene, the Earth, and all the other kingdoms of the Earth is a first step in this direction.

2. LESSON: What are you trying to teach me?

Reconnection and rememberance are two aspects of what is necessary in your life to create wholeness within you.  As a teacher of others, you must lead the way back to harmony and balance, what some Native people’s call the Beauty Way.

LIVE YOUR TRUTH.

LIGHT THE WAY.

SET THE EXAMPLE.

3. RESISTANCE: What have I been resistant to accepting in the past that I’m ready to receive now?

Yes, it does take more time to do ceremony, but you know how to do it.  You open your mouth and speak from your heart.  You allow compassion and gratitude and appreciation to pour forth in whatever words come through.

3 a — SURRENDER: What do I need to surrender?

Laziness.

3 b — ACCEPT: What do I need to accept?

Responsibility,  It is no longer time to “let someone else do it.”  The time is now.  The place is here.  The person is YOU.

4. ACTION: What action would you have me take today to serve my highest path?

TODAY – do sacred ceremony for the healing of humanity and of the Earth.  Do it daily.  Do it with feeling.  Do it with reverence.  Do it NOW!

5. TO RECEIVE MY HIGHEST TRUTH:

5 a — SURRENDER: In order to receive my highest truth, what idea, behavior, or belief do you want me to surrender?

That you are in any way separate from anyone else or anything else.

5 b —ADOPT: To live my highest truth, what new idea, behavior, or belief would you like me to adopt today?

I AM ONE with All That Is.  I am THAT!!

THANK YOU.
