SURPRISE: September Is Half Over

How did September get here so fast?

Are you noticing that experiences that you used to have over a period of weeks and months can all jamb up into a single day?

Have you found yourself trying to make “to do” lists that run off the end of an 8.5 x 11 inch piece of paper?

Have some things just fallen between the cracks never to be found again because you haven’t had time to look for them, much less to remember that you lost them?

Ask yourself, “what has to be done right now?”

Then do it and forget about all the lists.

Perhaps the answer to that question is to take a nap?

Soak in a hot tub?

Drink your favorite hot liquid?

Take a walk in nature?

Right now, this very moment, the biggest gift you can give yourself, no matter what is happening in your life, is a feeling of GRATITUDE and APPRECIATION.

That’s right!! BE GRATEFUL.

Think of someone or something that evokes love in your heart no matter what is going on and BE GRATEFUL for knowing or having known that being or situation.

Every morning, the first thing to do is to HUG YOURSELF.

HUG yourself several times each day and tell all parts of you – your physical body, your mind, your emotions, your higher self, and, yes, even your ego self – how much you APPRECIATE them.

Then HUG your significant others.

HUG your friends.

HUG your entire family.

Put yourself into a space of APPRECIATION and GRATITUDE just for having them with you.

As we continue to move higher vibrationally and the world that we are leaving behind continues to fall into varying degrees of chaos, our STATE OF MIND – (or should I say, our STATE OF HEART)  is the most important asset we have.

SOOOO …. Time to put your mind into a state of REST and to LIVE FROM YOUR HEART CENTER.

Teach yourself to LIVE from your HEART – filled with APPRECIATION and GRATITUDE – filled with FORGIVENESS and LOVE WITH NO LIMITATION or CONDITIONS.

Then, no matter what happens, you will be on top of the wave.  On top of the world!!

Daily Wisdom: Appreciating Every Moment

Are You Appreciating Every Moment of Your Life?

1. WISDOM: What is the wisdom you would like to give me today?

When you get up in the morning, what is your first thought?

Yes, it does matter what your first thought is for the day.  Your first moment of consciousness is as important as ever other and can even set the tone for the day.

Do you think, “Another beautiful day.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.”

I Appreciate You.

Do you think, “Oh, Lord, another day,” with your voice full of dread or sarcasm?

Maybe you don’t even remember what you thought this morning when you awoke?

2. LESSON: What are you trying to teach me?

Be aware of your thoughts and feelings.  Being aware is the first step to exercising consciousness about them – taking control of them.

You CAN choose what to think.

You CAN choose how to feel.

You CAN choose what actions to take.

3. RESISTANCE: What have I been resistant to accepting in the past that I’m ready to receive now?

You are resisting being in charge of yourself and your life FULLY.  “I want to be in charge.  I want to take back my power.” you say.  But to do that, you must accept responsibility for EVERYTHING.

3 a — SURRENDER: What do I need to surrender?

Surrender all unwillingness to be responsibility for yourself at all levels of your being.

3 b — ACCEPT: What do I need to accept?

Responsibility for yourself.  Since the world outside you reflects the inner you, looking outside and blaming others just replays the old way of being.  It’s time for a new approach.  ACCEPT your own power and being responsible for all that is, for you are GOD in this body.

4. ACTION: What action would you have me take today to serve my highest path?

TODAY – Use this affirmation:  I AM fully responsible for myself and my life!

5 a — SURRENDER: In order to receive my highest truth, what idea, behavior, or belief do you want me to surrender?

That you are small, weak, or a victim in any way.  This is subtle.  You’ve been working on this a long time, but there are still stray remnants that can now be dissolved through surrender.

5 b —ADOPT: To live my highest truth, what new idea, behavior, or belief would you like me to adopt today?

I AM THAT I AM.  I appreciate all that is, for whatever I experience I have created it for my own amusement and understanding.

To progress on our paths, we must be willing to make changes.

  • We must be willing to surrender limiting beliefs and ways of being.
  • We must also be willing to adopt new beliefs, new ways of being.

Both of these are challenging for us, at times, to do.

So to start off, we ask for the information. Then, if we are truly willing to change – to expand and to give up limitation – we begin one step at a time.

We surrender. . . and if that feels too difficult, we ASK FOR HELP and set the intention to surrender.

We accept something new . . . and if that feels too difficult, we ASK FOR HELP and set the intention to adopt the new way of being.

Counting My Blessings

Blessing 1.  Blessing 2.  Blessing 3.  Blessing . . . Infinity

No matter who you are, where you live, and what is going on in your life, you will always have abundance if you count your blessings.

Remember –

whatever we focus upon and energize,

we create more of that.

So with Hurricane Irene headed this way, I focused on peace, harmony, balance, and love.

I went outside and did a spiritual ceremony the day before the storm arrived in my area to align myself with the energies of the Earth and to pray for all beings in the path of the storm.  I sent Love to H. Irene.  I asked for the wind to quiet down.  I asked for the rains to decrease. I asked for gentleness for all.

Because I have learned to live my life in connection with Mother Earth and Nature, I also asked that whatever cleansing and healing were needed to be achieved by the storm be allowed to take place with the least amount of destruction and dislocation possible.

It’s not harmonious when weather forecasters speak negatively of rain and storms all the time, just because a few humans. or even many humans, are inconvenienced.  Storms have a purpose.

Storms clean the air, the plants, and the land.  Just think, with all the electric power out, and the planes not flying, and the cars and trucks not moving around, the air is actually cleaner than you have been breathing here on the East Coast for maybe your entire lifetime.  Use this opportunity to take some really DEEP breaths and to get some OXYGEN into your system.

Yes, many people are having a “hard time.”  Many are dealing with loss of home, family members, business dollars, and so on.  Everyone else you read or hear will talk about those aspects of this event.

I’m here to share the blessings.

Thank you, Oh Lord, Mother/Father Source, All-That-Is, for the blessings you have heaped upon me.  The sunny dry weather that followed the storm.  The basement that is drying out quickly.  The opportunity to take a break from mundane affairs and the gifts of many “surprise” experiences.

  • SURPRISE – my electric power is out.
  • SURPRISE – my electric power is back on.
  • SURPRISE – it’s out again, and then back on quickly.
  • SURPRISE – my land-line phone and DSL are gone.
  • SURPRISE – my land-line phone is out, but the DSL is ON!!
  • SURPRISE – when I hit the restart button on my furnace – it WORKED!!
  • SURPRISE – Hattie, the feral cat I help out, showed up today SAFE and sound and eager for breakfast.
  • SURPRISE – . . . I wonder what the next surprise will be?

GRATITUDE and APPRECIATION, Oh Lord, I send to you and to all the nature spirits and elementals, to the Wind and the Storm, to Irene, to Mother Earth for all the bounty I receive.

Remember the yin and yang principle.  Each contains the other.

Whatever you focus on is what you create.

Therefore, focus on the blessings.

  • BLESSING – my cats and I all survived and didn’t have to leave our home.
  • BLESSING – I only had 4″ or so of water in my basement.
  • BLESSING – the power came back on within 24 hours.
  • BLESSING – the sunny dry weather is helping my basement dry quickly.
  • BLESSING – Despite having 60 foot trees right near my house and 40+ mph winds, no significant limbs came down during the storm.
  • BLESSING – I’ve had several very peaceful days of just BEING instead of constantly DOING or STRIVING to do things.  I had no choice except to sit and be quiet and practice being in a peaceful place inside myself – a wonderous gift and a tremendous lesson in patience.
  • BLESSING – The friends and family I’ve called since the storm are all doing well.
  • BLESSING – Thank you for the opportunity to help others, to give them energetic support and encouragement.

This evening,

there will be a prayer circle

for those who were in the path of Hurricane Irene.

Please note that I do not think of them as “victims.”  I don’t see them that way at all.  I see everyone as in the perfect place for his/her spiritual growth, experiencing exactly what has the greatest opportunity to help awaken that person.

Still, each is worthy to receive the greatest abundance in all respects.  So tonight we will ask for abundance, healing, awakening, love, support, and appreciation for each other and everyone else.  . . . And we can ask for more.

Please join me.

And yes, I am requesting that everyone pay a fee.

If we were living in a community consciousness, I would not have to explain why.  Everyone would know that an exchange of energy maintains balance and harmony for all.  Money is energy, as is everything else.  In an indigenous community, the healer–shaman–priest–midwife was supported with a home, food and other things, plus gifts of all kinds in exchange for their service.  In our culture, it’s money that we use instead.

Thank you all, and namaste,

Divine Protection

How do we known when we are Divinely protected?

Is it just a matter of viewpoint, or is Divine Protection real?

About 6 years ago, a very dear and generous friend gave me a very old, comfortable Buick Le Sabre with 35,000 miles on it. This is the perfect car for me, as I love and appreciate old, worn in, comfortable things. I wear clothes I love until they practically disintegrate. And I prefer to repair things rather than replace them. So this car was a dream come true for me.

Travel forward in time with me to yesterday.

Yesterday, I made my first visit in many years to the huge Westfarms Mall in West Hartford Connecticut. I’m very uncomfortable in these big malls and avoid them whenever possible, but I have “graduated” to needing prescription glasses, and went to the optical store in J. C. Penny’s for my first experience purchasing several pairs.

When I got back into my car, I began weaving my way through the intricate loops and twists of the parking lot maze, heading, eventually, back to the main road. As I approached the first stop sign in this meandering, I stepped on the brake. This created an odd sensation I was not prepared to experience: the brake pedal descended straight to the floor. Because I was driving uphill toward the Stop sign, the car easily stopped.

Talk about protection!

  • I was going up hill.
  • There were no other cars around.
  • I was going slowly.

And in that moment, the brake lines broke and fluid poured out onto the road.

Many years ago, I had another Buick, that time a Skylark. I kept that car going for 15 years. I named it “Bionic Buick” when both the motor and transmission were rebuilt. That car had over 150,000 miles on it before it disintegrated.

“Bionic Buick” and I had many adventures together. In one adventure, I was driving on a back road, flat surface, approaching a stop sign, no other cars around. I rolled up to the stop sign and hit brakes – which no longer worked because the brakes lines were broken. Divine Protection had once again made sure I was out of traffic, travelling slowly, and on a flat surface.

Again, I was protected!

  • I was on a back road.
  • I was on flat ground.
  • I was the only car there.
  • I was moving slowly.

As if this isn’t enough protection, the Ford Taurus I had between the two Buicks also lasted longer than most people keep a car – can’t remember exactly, but about 12 years. Again, I was fully protected when driving this car. During its elder years, I pulled into the driveway at the barn where Echo lived and proceed to park. Suddenly, I couldn’t steer – a tie rod had snapped and one front wheel was no longer connected to the steering wheel. When the repair man looked at it, he said it broke in a very odd place. Good thing I wasn’t driving even at 30 mph when this happened.

Talk about protection!

  • I was off the road.
  • I was parking the car.
  • I was moving at about 1 mph.

So I am clearly Blessed and Divinely Protected, and I know it.

If I needed any more proof, I would be a fool.

Some years ago I realized that “luck” is really “grace” – a Divine gift. Giving thanks – showing appreciation and gratitude – brings more Grace into our lives.

“Thank you, Oh Divine Lord, for all the Grace and other Divine Gifts you have sent and continue to send into my life.
It is SO appreciated!”

p.s. – Please comment by sharing a bit of the Divine Grace in your life.  We all will receive some of that Grace just by reading about it.  Thanks.

Appreciation and Gratitude

The Real Purpose of Money

I have a new favorite book.  It’s called Busting Loose From the Money Game by Robert Scheinfeld.   This book is about money, but . . . it is really about SO MUCH MORE.

Consider this:

The real purpose of money is to express appreciation for the magnificence of yourself as the Creator of everything you experience and the magnificence of all your creations as you create and experience them. (p.87)

WOW!!  Now that’s a new perspective on money!

When someone does something for you, you thank them, right?  When someone gives you something, you express appreciation, right?  Come on now, if you are not thanking people or expressing any appreciation to others, then it’s time for a review of basic good manners.  So I’m going to assume that you know how to say “please” and “thank you” because, of course, you do, and that you actually say it!

So, now, if you truly are the Creator of your own reality, if your reality actually reflects back to you your own beliefs, emotions, and other inner “stuff,” then when you say “thank you” you are actually expressing gratitude to YOURSELF.  This is because everyone in your personal world is you, since there is only one being here in the first place!

Back in the days before there was money, people exchanged physical items.  It was called Barter.  Today we use metal coins and pieces of paper to make the exchanges more efficient, but the concept of an exchange is the same.

When people talk to each other or interact in any way (including having sex), it is not only the words (or fluids) that are being exchanged.  It is actually ENERGY being exchanged.  In Barbara Brennan’s book, Light Emerging, there are amazing drawings of what this energy exchange might look like.

Since everything in the universe is composed of the same thing – “strings” or “waves” or “particles” – then even our emotions and thoughts must be included in this definition.  So when we exchange ANYTHING we are exchanging ENERGY.

Are you with me so far?

If we are exchanging ENERGY, and we do this at all level of vibrational frequency, then, by definition, money is just a form of energy, too.

And if everyone in our personal universe that we each call “reality” is a just another version of us, then when we pay bills, buy items in stores or online, put money into the bank or into our wallets, we appear to be moving money around, but we are actually moving energy around.  And when we give this energy to what appears to be someone else, we are really giving it to another aspect of ourselves.

In other words, when we use money as an exchange for something we want, we are really just expressing our gratitude, our appreciation – also forms of energy – for whatever it is we received in return.  This can be use of space (paying rent or mortgage), food, clothing, a healing, a consultation, medical services, and EVERYTHING else.

Do you deserve appreciation?  Of COUSE you do!

Do you deserve to be thanked?  Of COUSE you do!

So this Thanksgiving Season is really about THANKING YOURSELF as the DIVINE CREATOR of YOUR REALITY.

I THANK EACH of you for being a reflection of me in my reality.

Namaste (The God in Me Salutes the God in You.)
